Extremely light, hand-held, articulated SPOT CLINCH® machines, workhead weight 7-8 lbs (3.2-3.6 kg), cycle time 0.6-1.0 seconds, capacity 2x16 ga (0.120”) total in mild steel. Applications include stud-to-track joining in both load-bearing structures and for partition walls. ICBO/ICC building code approval for its clinched joints in structural members of cold-formed profiles (see ER-5439).

In two-stroke clinching, the material to be joined is first deformed plastically inside a die. In a second phase, the joint is created through a squeezing between the punch and anvil outside of the die. The result is a high quality joint in terms of shape, strength and repeatability. Ideal for narrow flanges and clinching close to walls.

The new Pipelok machine is capable of joining Steel,
Aluminum, Copper, and other metal tubing in
1 stroke. Multiple individual clinches on a Ø3”
or larger pipe are now possible with this newly
designed equipment.
